Our 8 Frame Deep Supers from West Alabama Bee Company are built for strength, long-term durability, and dependable performance in Alabama and Southeastern beekeeping conditions. Handcrafted by Amish craftsmen in southern Tennessee, each super is made from solid cypress, a wood naturally resistant to moisture, rot, and warping.
Deep supers are commonly used for brood chambers and colony expansion and are often paired with 8 Frame Medium Supers for honey production, creating a balanced and efficient Langstroth hive configuration. These boxes are precision-built to fit standard 8 frame Langstroth equipment, allowing seamless integration with other hive components.
Cypress construction makes these deep supers especially well suited for the heat and humidity of the South, helping them hold up season after season where softer woods often struggle.
