Our 8 Frame Inner Covers from West Alabama Bee Company are designed to support proper hive ventilation and everyday colony management while holding up to the demands of Alabama and Southeastern climates. Each inner cover features a solid cypress rim, handcrafted by Amish craftsmen in southern Tennessee, paired with a durable plywood center panel for strength and stability.
Designed to fit standard 8 frame Langstroth equipment, these inner covers sit between the hive bodies and the outer cover, helping regulate airflow and reduce moisture buildup inside the hive. The center opening provides access for feeding, ventilation, and easier hive management throughout the season.
Cypress is naturally resistant to moisture and decay, making it an excellent choice for the rim where long-term durability matters most, while the plywood center adds rigidity and helps prevent warping. Together, these materials create a dependable inner cover built for real-world beekeeping use.
